Many of these scripts require "openlogfile.pl" to be in the same directory as
the script. that's because i'm too lazy to make it a proper module.
"openlogfile.pl" contains a subroutine which can open log files whether they are
compressed or uncompressed. this is to make it easier to run the scripts on
either your current logs or old, compressed logs.
I am NOT able to provide any assistance with these scripts.
if you can't get perl scripts running on your system, then please don't
download them and please do not email me about them.
